Our Story – Heritage-Driven Innovation Since 1973
Founded in 1973, Hinton Lumber Products began as a family-run producer of wooden boxes and ammunition crates, serving regional customers with handcrafted products and a focus on quality. As logistics demands shifted and the packaging industry evolved, so did Hinton. By the 1990s, the company had fully transitioned into pallet manufacturing, positioning itself as a reliable supplier of high-quality, heat-treated wood pallets for the Southeast.
Today, Hinton is recognized as a national pallet supplier with a growing reputation for automation-ready solutions, certified manufacturing, and custom engineering expertise. From GMA and stringer pallets to block-style, EPAL, and CP-certified models, we support a wide range of industries, including retail, pharma, food, chemical, and heavy manufacturing.

A Vision for Automation at Scale
In 2020, Hinton opened a state-of-the-art facility in La Porte, Texas, designed from the ground up to showcase automated pallet manufacturing at scale. Outfitted with CAPE tandem nailing lines and advanced quality systems, the site represents a next-generation model for North American pallet production: high-throughput, multi-format, and adaptable to both standard and specialty builds.
Our manufacturing capabilities now span both high-volume runs and short-run custom designs, with full compliance to EPAL, CP, and ISPM-15 standards. This allows us to meet customers’ needs who require certified pallets for export, system pallets for AS/RS lines, or specialty units for high-value cargo and reusable load platforms.
